The Bold Craft Marketing team is taking part in a fundraising challenge to support the Childhood Cancer Foundation Ireland by collectively completing the distance of the coastline of Ireland in the month of July! Did you know that the circumference of the Irish coastline is 3171km??
Neither did we until this challenge, but we are determined to complete this distance in 30 days!
Our Bold Craft Marketing team, based in Westport, Co. Mayo will walk, cycle, run, etc. throughout the month of July to collectively build the distance of 3171km to raise funds for this amazing foundation.
Childhood Cancer Foundation is a charity founded by and led by parents of children with cancer.
On average 328 children, adolescents and young adults (aged 0 – 24 years) are diagnosed with cancer every year. That is six children or young people every week.
As a parent-led charity, the foundation understands that a diagnosis of childhood cancer has a devastating impact on the entire family. The aim of the Childhood Cancer Foundation is to help to ease the burden of diagnosis and treatment on children and their families by raising funds to provide practical and emotional support. The Charity also advocates for better supports and services for families, as well as better treatments and outcomes for children.
We are also looking for people to get involved in raising funds and awareness with us!
If you would like to get involved and join us in this group challenge of completing 3171km in 30 days to raise funds for the Childhood Cancer Foundation, here is how:
- You can donate through our iDonate page. We appreciate any and all donations made.
- You can get involved by completing a walk/cycle/run and then sending us the distance traveled in your activities. This can be anything from one walk to multiple runs or a cycle along the Great Western Greenway! Every km helps and gets us closer to our goal!
- You can reshare this link and create awareness by tagging our socials in your social posts or stories, or use the hashtag – #AroundIrelandin30Days
At the end of the challenge, we will post all of the names of our group who contributed.
There is strength in numbers and we have set a goal of €1000 to be raised!
